FAQs
🧠 Service overview
What is Smart Check by KIN?
It is an end-to-end access management system that integrates digital credentials, a 24/7 WhatsApp-based registration assistant, and a digital logbook offering real-time visibility for hosts and administrators. SC is designed to streamline processes, enable self-managed access, and improve the registration experience for visitors, residents, clients, and vendors at high-traffic properties—all without compromising security.
What types of properties can use it?
It is compatible with corporate offices, clinics, hospitals, service centers, warehouses, industrial parks, educational institutions, universities, residential complexes, and condominiums.
What sets it apart from other access control systems?
Smart Check manages access from end to end; this means stakeholders from various groups—hosts, security personnel, administrators, and end-users—are integrated into a single management workflow without the need for complex installations. Furthermore, its agility and versatility via WhatsApp (eliminating the need for dedicated apps), combined with features like document capture, virtual queues, and digital traceability, remove organizational and technological barriers through integration with QR code systems and both physical and digital credentials.
Does it require downloading additional mobile apps?
No, not for access. The entire process can be completed directly via WhatsApp or using virtual credentials. The app is intended solely for administrators and security personnel.
How does WhatsApp registration work?
A link is sent to the visitor for pre-registration, where they enter basic information and upload any images or documents required for validation based on the property's specific policies.
How does it benefit property administrators?
It allows them to have individuals complete their own pre-registration and centralizes access records on a single platform in real time. Finally, it enables the generation of reports that provide traceability and improve operational efficiency.
Who can interact with the system?
Administrators, security personnel, visitors, vendors, residents, and operational staff designated by the client.
Does Smart Check improve property security?
Yes. By replacing manual data entry processes, security personnel are freed up to focus solely on verification and security tasks. Furthermore, capturing images and documents—combined with digital logging—enhances control and transparency.
Can it be used in logistics facilities? Absolutely. It is designed to suit distribution centers where credential handling is high-volume and dynamic.
Does it provide reports for analysis? It generates access reports that can be exported to spreadsheets; additionally, our SC-Analytics module provides segmented data on validations performed, wait times, hours worked, and other operational metrics.

🔧 Technology and functionalities
What technology does Smart Check use?
It relies on platforms like WhatsApp connected to the SC application via mobile devices, with optional hardware integration (turnstiles, doors), all underpinned by services such as Google Cloud, AWS, and SQL.
How is scheduled access managed?
Visitors receive a link to enter their details prior to the visit; the system captures and categorizes this information and requests host validation before entry.
What happens if there is no internet connection?
The system can operate offline, functioning based on the last synchronized record stored on the mobile device. Ensuring mobile or local network connectivity is highly recommended to guarantee stability at checkpoints.
Does it allow for full traceability?
Yes. Every entry is logged with the time, name, and validated documentation.
Can it connect to physical devices?
Yes. It can be integrated with scanners, turnstiles, automated entry systems, and license plate readers.
